  5. If for any reason your computer will not start up
  6. correctly please consult the User Guide. One of
  7. the causes may be that !Boot (or some other
  8. application) has installed Choices settings that
  9. contain an error, or are incompatible with your
  10. hardware configuration.

  12. If this occurs, this application can be used to
  13. set the !Boot Choices directory back to its
  14. original factory settings - just start the
  15. application, and click on the RESTORE button.

  17. Your old choices directory is renamed as
  18. -Choices inside !Boot. Any previous -Choices
  19. directory is deleted.

  21. Note that this application simply resets the
  22. contents of !Boot.Choices to their factory
  23. settings. It does not de-install modules in
  24. !System, or fonts in !Fonts, or change the CMOS
  25. RAM settings, or empty the Scrap directory.
  26.  
  27. In a network environment, this application will
  28. only restore the settings of a single user. The
  29. directory name used for the old choices is made
  30. from the old name by prefixing it with '-'.
  31. System variable ResetBoot$OldChoices is set to
  32. this value.
